A business trusts a POS with its daily takings, so here is what ChinarPOS does to protect them, described in plain terms.
Who can do what
- Every team member signs in with their own account. There is no shared login.
- Owners design roles, so each person can do only what their job needs. Staff cannot give themselves more access.
- Staff can be limited to a single branch.
- At the till, sign-in also asks for a six-digit code.
Approvals and accountability
- Large discounts, refunds and closing a till with a cash difference can require a manager's personal PIN.
- ChinarPOS records who did sensitive actions, and owners can review an activity log.
- Every manual discount is reported with who gave it, who approved it and why.
Keeping businesses apart
Each business's data is kept separate from every other business's data.
Payments
Online payments are processed by our payment partner. Customers pay through the partner's checkout.
What we do not claim
We do not claim any security certification or audit, and we do not publish uptime figures. If that changes, we will say so here, with evidence.
Reporting a problem
If you think you have found a security problem, email secure@chinarpos.com. Please give us details and a reasonable chance to fix it before you share it publicly.
